inkXE is highly configurable. This document shows how to upload Designs(ClipArt), Shapes, Masks, Distress, Web Fonts, Text – FX, Text-on-Path, Word Cloud, Colors and Patterns, Categories and Sub Categories of everything from the inkXE admin.
Graphics – inkXE
Navigate to the ‘Graphics’ tab. To delete an item, you can select individually or select all and press delete. Please note that select all is limited to the items displayed on that page alone.
How to upload Designs(ClipArt) in inkXE
Open ‘Designs’ tab. Click on ‘Add New ClipArt’> ‘Upload Design’. Select the design you want to upload. The formats supported are SVG, JPEG and PNG. Click Upload. Then enter values for Name & Price(if applicable), assign a tag (for search), choose the category and subcategory. You can add multiple categories and subcategories for a design. Click on Save to store the changes.
How to upload Shapes in inkXE
Open ‘Shapes’ tab. Click on ‘Add New Shape’ and similarly upload the desired file & assign a category. Format supported is SVG.
How to upload Masks in inkXE
Open ‘Masks’ tab. Click ‘Add New Mask’. Upload the mask boundary by clicking on ‘Change Mask’. Formats supported – SVG. Click ‘Change Image’ to add the image to it. Formats supported – JEPG, PNG. Give a name and update.
How to upload Distress patterns
Open ‘Distress’. Click ‘Add New Distress’ > ‘Upload Distress’. Formats supported – PNG. Enter a name and click on Add.
How to upload Web Fonts in inkXE
Open ‘Web Fonts’. Click on ‘Add New Web Font’ > ‘Upload Web Font’. Browse for the one in tff format, and hit upload. Give a name, tag (for search), assign a category and print type. You can assign multiple categories to one font.
How to upload TextFX in inkXE
To upload a TextFX font, navigate to ‘Add New TextFX’ > ‘Browse TextFX Fonts’. Then upload custom SVG fonts that you have created. Click Save. Then select a font and click on ‘Edit Selected’. Assign the fonts to corresponding letters in your language, and save.
How to upload Word Cloud
Open ‘Word Cloud’. Browse to upload by clicking on ‘Add New WordCloud’. Upload the mask boundary as well as the image inside which your customers’ input words will be randomly set. Then select an item and click on ‘Edit Selected’ to give a name and price if applicable. Formats supported – SVG.
How to upload custom color and patterns in inkXE
Open ‘Palettes’, then ‘Add New Color’. Browse to add custom colors by selecting from the color picker tool given there or click on ‘Upload CSV’. In the CSV file, enter #code, as well as color_name. To upload a pattern, select ‘Pattern’ from ‘Choose type’ and click on ‘Upload Pattern’. Formats supported – SVG, Select which printers support the uploaded artwork and colors, and assign a category to each. You can add multiple categories to one color or pattern.
How to add categories and sub-categories in inkXE
inkXE lets you arrange everything neatly in categories and subcategories so that every item can be easily searched when required. Every category and subcategory can be added and edited on the right side of each item.
This setting is not applicable for Screen Printing. For Screen Printing, navigate to ‘Print Settings’ and select ‘Screen Printing’. Instructions are given under ‘Configure Screen Printing Cost (Area wise). Here you can manage the printing prices according to the print area. Enter the cost of each size (A1 – A8). You can also define the price of custom size. Custom Printing sizes can also be removed.
Configure Screen Printing Cost (Area wise)
Here you can set the prices for additional printing area. The cost will change as a percentage increase of the given value. l
For example, if a user scales above A4, then the cost will increase by 30 percent (as set by you) for A3, 35 percent for A2 and 40 percent for A1. Say, the cost of printing on A4 area is 10 USD. When the user scales the graphics to A3, the cart will automatically display 13 USD.
Enter the percentage increase values according to the sizes given.
